Life is grand [21 Jun 2006|01:09am] [ mood | good ] [ music | "Not Ready To Make Nice" - Dixie Chicks ] Summer has been treating Mitch just fine! I just can't complain about it. So far there has been many many drunken nights, days of relaxation, and sparks of romance springing in the air. Haha, I'm such a dork but seriously I really can't complain about my summer. I feel just great. The last time I wrote (for those who are reading on myspace this refers to my post on livejournal) I spoke of a young man that I just recently met - well for those who are wondering, we definitely are in a full-blown relationship. Fast! huh? But seriously I can't complain about him either. He has to be one of the most sweetest and most genuine guys I have ever met. He has all the qualities that I look for in a relationship. He's intelligent, extremely outgoing which is great because all my friends love him, great lookin, funny and the list can go on and on. He's the full deal, which is why it doesn't matter to me that we went into this relationship so fast. Anywho for those who are curious here's a pic of us at Purple Martini this past Saturday.... Last weekend began Thursday night. I was hanging out with Vi when the girl's called and invited us over for some Beer Pong. I was getting bored with the movie that we rented and I decided that we should go over. I ended up having 3 shots and played 3 games of Beer Pong. For some reason I ended up getting really trashed. I have no idea why - possibly the stupid cigarettes I was smoking (I vow to never smoke again) and also might've been a mixture of the trance music (haha). So yeah, I was getting into the music and notice that I was really really dizzy. So I got up and threw up. And when I throw up I go all out haha. Vi was nice enough to "hold my hair back" and take me home where I threw up some more. She left me in my bed and I awoke the next morning extremely hung over. For lunch Vi called me in the morning to see if I wanted to go eat lunch with her. We went to Moon Gate (I think it's called) with my brother Eric, and Cheath. It was delish! I had the Pat-See-U, (spelling? haha) but couldn't finish it cause I was still hung over. Cheath was still drunk as well. From there I went over to the girl's house to chill for a bit before going to the airport to pick Chris up. For the rest of the night I hung out with Chris helping him run errands and pack for his trip to China. I ended up spending the night with him. On Saturday, I woke up extremely late. Chris was already awake when I woke up at 1. Yikes! I seriously am a sleeper. We spent the whole afternoon running errands and getting last minute stuff done befoe he had to leave. We ended up going out to dinner with his grandfather who I must say is so freakin adoreable. After dinner we went back to his apartment where we finished up packing and went out to the Purple Martini at the Denver Tech Center for some drinks with the BC Crew. The drive there was so fricken far!!! I didn't think it would take so long. I had fun though, it's always nice to hang with my friends - I love them! After Purple Martini we went over to Denny's where I devoured my Ham & Cheese Omlette!! It was great!!! We were at Denny's until about 3:45am when I realized that I had to take Chris to the airport in 2 hours!! So we rushed home and napped for about 40 mins (I didn't nap though cause I had a redbull) and we had to rush Chris to the airport. We made it there right at 7. After that I had to take Vi to her car back in Denver. I didn't get to bed until 8am. Sigh... I woke up at 12 and went home to see my parents. It's been really hard for me to fall asleep lately. The other night I didn't get to bed until 7:30am. Crazy huh? Didn't go to bed last night until 4 and I'm probably going to be up late tonight cause I'm watching Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring tonight. I'm extremely stoked for this weekend, well mostly for Sunday! While the BC heads to Lake McConaughy I'm going to be working on Friday and will be heading home on Saturday to visit my older brother who is visiting. It's always nice to hang out with my bro when he visits. I'm excited for Sunday because I'll be attending the Pride festival with the majority of the BC crew even the guys! I can't wait!! It'll be my first year attending pride with my friends. It means so much the world to me that they agreed to go and to support me. That's another reason why I love my friends! They'll always have your back even if it's doing something that may be uncomfortable for them. So yeah that's what I'll be doing this weekend! I guess that'll be all for this post. Oh! I'm back!!! [18 May 2006|02:57am] [ mood | good ] [ music | "Doi Em" - Duy Manh ] Y'all missed me? It's been one heck of a crazy semester! So many up's and down's. I don't even know where to begin. Actually let's not even talk about the past. I'm officially on Summer break and by far it's been great!! I got my final grades this semester and I'm actually pretty proud of myself. I went from being close to being put on academic probation to being back at where I started. I could've gotten a 4.0 this semester if only I pushed myself harder in my geology class - but instead I got 3 A's and a C. Sigh... I'm surprised I did so well considering all the things I have been through this semester. It just shows me that when I'm motivated I can succeed no matter what happens whether if it's good or bad. Right now I am feeling really good. Reason? Well, there's this guy who I recently met who I have the biggest of all big crush on. I don't wanna go into too much details because my crushes seems to drop like bird poop falling onto your head from the sky. But, all I can say is that his response back has been very positive. *wink* I was a little bitter earlier. I didn't expect going out to dinner with my roommate and some friends for his birthday was going to be so damn expensive!! We went to Kona Grill at the Cherry Creek Mall for some sushi and the freakin bill came out to be almost $400.00!! We each had to put in $36.00, and I paid for my brother so I had to pay $72.00 for just me and my brother. All night I was thinking to myself all the things I can buy with $72.00 - I came up with... a Lacoste polo if I had $2.00 more, replace my diesel shoes, buy a couple DVDs that I've been wanting (i.e., the Family Stone, Fun with Dick & Jane, a whole season of Queer As Folk, etc...), a couple of CDs, new jeans, new shirts, new clothing in general, mirror for my room, etc, etc. Yeah I was bitter. I didn't even do anything at D&B because all I could think about is the money I spent for 5 sushi's and one wrap that was an appetizer. It wasn't worth it. I can't wait for tomorrow! My friends and I are going to JR's. I haven't been in a while and I've been dying to get back into the gay crowd. It's always to go with my group of girlfriends, they always love it there. Plus I hear they have a new bartender who I might add that is a current member of this seasons Real World in Denver. Pretty cool eh... Maybe you'll see me on TV (making out with him... haha jk). On a serious note, I would like to end my entry with this. Remember to live your life to the fullest and remember to tell your parents that you love them. Don't take your life for granted and remember to hold the ones you love close. My cousin Christopher Le's life was taken away a month ago. It's been a hard and exhausting month for me. But a dream that I had a couple nights ago left me in good thoughts knowing that he's in a good place now and all I can do is continue my life and not to mourn his death but to celebrate his life through the memories that I have of him. Watch me rave!!! [03 May 2006|03:50pm] Ever seen me rave? Well, now here's your chance! Haha. Me and a group of girls entered a national website contest called the Contagious Festival. It's a contest that features work by talented designers, activists, filmmakers and comics. For the contest we decided that we would do a boiling point type of deal where we go onto campus and do the most random things. For me, I decided to rave in the student center, the library and the fountain area of my campus. Anyways to win the contest we have to get the most hits on our website but the catch is that you can only enter the website once because the counter reads IP addresses only once, so if you guys could please please pass my link along and tell everyone you can about it. Dah.... [28 Jan 2006|02:03am] [ mood | tired ] Preparations for our annual tet show has been HELL!!! Sigh... So many last minute changes and bail outs. It all began with the Nghia mishap. Where there was some misunderstanding and miscommunications it all ended with Nghia and Loc's group bailing out of the Dragon Dance portion of our show 2 days before the event. Sigh... But luckily we had Mr. JTon who saved our day. He called his old temple and they agreed to do the Dragon Dance for us. *Whew* that was a close one. Then today sigh... Mr. Cardin the main singer for our show missed his damn flight. How might I ask? I don't know. He said he went to the wrong airport but I dunno. It just seems weird. But we found him another flight. Hopefully he doesn't miss this one either. Another girl bailed out of our skit today. This year everything just seems very shaky. I dunno. The show is tomorrow night. Hopefully everything will run smoothly. If not. It's totally out of our hands now... If you're in Boulder - Please come to our show. It's a new year! Time to start over... [03 Jan 2006|03:15am] [ mood | Appreciative ] [ music | "4ever" - The Veronicas ] Okay so I know I never finished my last entry. I'm over it. It's all in the past now. It's 2006 a fresh new start and a whole new beginning. But let's just back track for a little bit. Christmas: It was actually a great Christmas. I did all my Christmas shopping in two-flippin days! It was crazy but I did it. Haha. My older brother was in town for the weekend. It was really great to see him. I always enjoyed being around him. My parents had a family get together on Christmas Eve. It wasn't like our old huge Christmas party but it was still great to have close family and friends around. Christmas day I did a whole lot of nothing. I sat around online most of the day watched part of TBS' 24-Hours of "A Christmas Story" and then went to see a movie with Ann and Amy. We went to see "The Family Stone" which I must say is a great holiday movie. Very funny and very touching at the same time. I almost cried. I must advise you all to go see it if you haven't. I can't wait till it comes out on DVD (next year... boo). After the movie we went to the Waffle House which was probably the only restaurant open during Christmas. It was my first time there. It tasted really good!! I liked my Christmas it was very chill... It took me 20 minutes to find a parking spot. I spent the whole 5 hour shift or however long it was (I don't remember) talking to customers. My mouth and lips were so dry by the time I got out. I felt nasty haha. Oh btw I'm not just a seasonal employee now - my manager decided to keep me permantely. Which is really cool cause I love the discount I get :) The day before New Years. I decided to go to club Static one last time before the end of the year. So I went with my friend Ryan. In the past I was never able to enjoy my time at static because Vic and I always ended up fighting. But this time I actually really had a good time. I didn't think I would since I've been going out in Denver a lot but I did. I ended up having a lil dance battle with one of Ryan's friend and it was pretty fun. He said I was an awesome dancer, so I guess I'm good at something. hehe. I got pretty buzzed from one drink (I swear the bartended made it especially strong) and danced the whole time I was there. I was hoping to meet someone but it didnt happen. If I had to rate the night I'd probably say it was an A- New Years: What can I say? I had so much fun! It was nice to spend it with close friends. We started out going to David's house for some pre-drinking where I had way too many shots. I threw up before we left at around ummm 9:30 haha. We called a cab to come pick us up to take us to club beyond but someone yoinked it from us so we decided to walk there. The walk there wasn't bad at all. Actually I think it's because all of us were pretty buzzed so we didn't really care. When we got there we saw a huge ass line but luckily Tee knew the bouncer so we didn't wait in line at all haha. I felt special but the cover was still $30.00! When I got inside I started to dance like there was no tomorrow. I love dancing. I got a lot of great pictures too (which can be seen on my facebook). At midnight I got my first kiss from my bestfriend Amy. Awww. We left the club around 1:45 and ended up going to Taco Bell where Cheath devoured her Mexican pizza. It was so funny to see. But seriously when you're drunk Taco Bell tastes sooooooo freakin good. I too devoured my meal. After Taco Bell we decided to walk home again where I embarassed myself haha. While we were walking I told my friends I was going to go throw up. So I ran to an alley and tried to throw up. Nothing came up so I told my friends I was kidding, 3 steps later everything that was inside my body was now on the sidewalk. I was told that the way I throw up sounds painful haha. So anywho I threw up on my shoes and jeans. Yeah not so fun to clean out the next morning. But regardless of everything I had a very fun night!! Me taking a shot with the boys... I started the year off at a new school, I turned 21, sang a duet with one of my all-time favorite Vietnamese singers, and went to Mexico for the first time. The last 4 months of 2005 would probably be where I saw myself change the most - I finally became more independent. After nearly three years of being with Vic, we finally decided that it was best for us to be a part. It's sad that we didn't work out like I wanted but I agree that it was for the best. I also became more independent from my parents by finally moving out. In the past 4 months I feel like I met so many incredible people that I can see being life long friends with. I also became closer to the friends I already have. I am definitely happier now. I can now finally agree that I am growing up to be the adult my parents wants me to be. I also really hope that I continue the growing process during this year. I can definitely tell that 2006 will be a kick ass year. 2006: I can tell that this year is going to be a great year already. I spent all Sunday with the people I spent New Years Eve with. We all went to eat Pho for lunch and decided to get together again for dinner and have a game night. Which was fun although I suck at Taboo. I have my very first date since I became single tomorrow (well actually later today since its 3:30am). I'm kinda nervous but I think it'll be a fun, new experience. On Friday I was invited to go to Kurt's Birthday party, so I'll end up going to that. Time goes by. So slowly... [25 Oct 2005|01:12am] [ mood | excited ] [ music | "Hung Up" - Madonna ] Fricken addicted to Madonna's new song "Hung Up." It's melody is so addicting. I love it so much that I have it as a ringtone now haha. If I had my ipod (which I have to send in for evaluation soon) you'd probably see this song on repeat. I'm addicted to that and also PCD's suppose to be second single but they changed it last minute single "Beep." So I finally did it. I called my crush. I was FRICKEN scared. The convo lasted less than 2 minutes because he was rushing into work, but he agreed to hang out with me later this week! I can't wait, except I'm broke. I'm gonna have to smooch some money off of my parents. But whatever type of relationship I'm gonna have with this guy I'm gonna take it. I'm trying to change my mindset of thinking that he could be a potential boyfriend to just a friend. I don't wanna get let down when he tells me that he's not interested in me like that so I'm just gonna try my hardest to want his friendship more than have a relationship more than friends with him. Plus I don't wanna annoy him and end up pushing him away. So my best advice I can give myself is keep looking and just have as much fun as I can while I'm single! Matt's party on Saturday was off the chains. I had so much fun. It was really chill and relaxing but fun at the same time. I took so many pictures. Some I don't even rememeber taking. Becasue we were still awake we all ended up at the girl's house where we played a lil prank on Diem (since she left Matt's party early just to study). We covered her in her bed sheets and carried her all the way down the stairs into the front yard. Hil-ar-ious!! I never laughed so much in my life. I had so much fun that night. So if you haven't noticed (can't barely tell in the pics), I got a new hairstyle. It's suppose to be a faux-hawk but the lady at the store didn't know what it was and did it wrong. aye-ca-rum-ba... [13 Oct 2005|01:40am] [ mood | okay ] [ music | "Beep" - The Pussycat Dolls ] hmmm. what a night - i did lots of driving 173 miles to be exact. i'm exhausted. i wore my new shoes to school today i was excited until i found out they were a size too small. walking around campus in shoes that is a size too small is ummm uncomfortable. My freakin feet were killing me. I'm gonna return the shoes tomorrow hopefully they'll let me cause if they dont I wasted $90.00. The return policy states that your shoe is only returnable if you haven't worn it outside, which I did. LOL, I'm so stupid - I've been working in the shoe business for 4 years now and I still don't know how to tell what size to buy. It's odd - the shoe fit perfectly fine yesterday when I tried them on but when I put them on this morning they were stuffed. aye-ca-rum-ba haha. i've been doing some job hunting at the mall and found out that all my favorite stores are hiring!!! I picked up applications for American Eagle (my top choice, tee hee), Express for Men, Guess and Gap - hopefully I'll get a call back from atleast one of those stores. I love living right next to the mall, it's like a dream come true :D jk. FALL BREAK!! yes! I'm officially on fall break. what to do? what to do? Oh yeah, study for exams and write papers - oh joy! but tomorrow im gonna go celebrate, thats for sure. i'm watching "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" right now, one of my favorite movies. I love this movie because its depressing, funny and happy at the same time. i remember seeing it for the first time in theaters with victor and troy. it was a fun period of my life. i will never forget it. the past couple nights i've been watching Cinderella. I've seen it 3 times already since i've gotten it. i love that movie. I will never grow up. it's great. i guess that's my update for now. enjoy! speak
